The Iron lady

18 years of roller coaster ride
Tired and worn am I But still I need to move
To be the ironman For my folks to rely on
The comedian to add humour to their lives
The tears and loneliness have to be hidden
Beneath the mask of smiles and toughness
Friends only watch at the sidelines
And shoutout words of encouragement s
They didn't know I really need a shoulder to cry on
and a hand to give me an extra push
Everyone is deceived by my mask of happy laughter

How very much I would like to hole up in a corner and cry out loud
Seeing her frail body just tore my heart apart
Deep inside I knew she needs me more
I have to be strong..I need to be strong

Impossible is nothing

all things were seen impossible
for someone like me so vulnerable
with determination and positiveness
impossible is simply nothing

Goodbye my boy

You chose your path
Away from my arms
The world is tough
The nights are cold
The storms are thundery loud

Mornings are now quiet
No repeated sounds of me brushing teeth
No morning greetings and whistles
Nor non-sensical chatters and screams

2 years have passed and the house still feels empty
The new peace is still awkwardly stale
Even The karang guni man asking
Where is that bird who keeps calling?

I pray daily
For God to guard your path
and be into His Loving Arms

The best is oversight

3 years back when i was feeling down, because i was overlooked for a promotion.  A good friend wrote this to encourage me. ;)

"Some streams run above,

Some below the earth.
The latter is sweet and fresh,
But it takes a little more time,
A little more patience,
Before the world knows
The best is oversight."

The fallen log

The fallen tree from the logged forest cries
Where have my family gone?
The lavenders came and said
Fret not fallen log i will be your family from now on
Soon the daisies and the gerberas came along
the fallen log is lonely no more

the lonely paddler

The paddler paddle in the open sea
Along with the others on a sinking ship
The paddler paddle till his muscles trembles
Wondering why he is paddling hard while others aren't
Looking around for a nearby ship
The paddler finally chose to abandon ship.

Mid life

The mid-life is here i have no fear,

For God is kind
blessing me with friends who are kind
Though the path He paved
is filled with hidden mines
Every blast i stepped
left me with a crippled mind
Angels were sent
In the form of family and friends
to give me a push
when i refused to move
to give me a hanky
when i am teary
Oh How blessed i am
