Friday night
Late working hard
Parties and movies
Seems so long ago
Dates with friends
Laughing and chatting over dinner
Gosh..how long ago was that
Turquoise sea white sandy beach
Zen mood underwater
Oh my...how I'm missing that
My life turns 360
After you left
Dad is my only centre of attention
Giving him all that i was unable to give you
Missing you bad on this rainy friday night
My lupus took a turn
Went back to old fren that i knew
How i wonder why did i have the energy and health last year
And my old friend never strike a single chord
The chaotic dashes to hospital whenever u are unwell
The mixture of feelings
And here i wonder
It must be the power of God that kept me going

8 long months
Flew past with a wink of an eye
The house is silent with occasional shoutings and wailings
The sound of television is all that is heard on normal evenings
No more laughter, no more joys
Just a house of sadness and anger
The phone is silent
No one calls anymore
Angry are they over the angry child who had lost her mother
Nobody understands her miseries
They only know their own
On her own she has to move on
To care for her dementing dad

True colors
It's Mum's birthday and the only person who remembers Is Aunt Annie
The only relative who bothers to come all the way to my place to pay respect to her beloved sister
She has already earned my respect, even though I didn't quite like her when I was younger
Looking at the way she wept at the altar, I can't help but think...where are the others who said "any problems look for us." When not a single call or message was made to ask how are we coping?
I'm not whining. But yet it will be heartwarming to receive some concerns when you are trying hard to accept the new life without mum. Sad.. There were not much from the so call relatives. Friends, temple mates and neighbors were the ones helping me without asking. They called, message to make sure I'm still sane. Thank God for them!
Just a simple incident of a missing old radio can let one see through how a person feels for you.
Don't they understand I just lost my beloved mum? My best friend my confidante? My pillar of strength and sanity?
Can't they just see it from my point of view and give me a chance to explain? No...they did the most childish thing to block me from Social network.
Perhaps it's God's arrangements after all to protect me. Will leave Him to decide then.
